Sgt. Crowley assisting Prof. Gates down steps
Again, it is so clear to any thinking American that the current administration is completely devoid of manners, thoughtfulness, and wisdom.
Devoid of manners: Witness our President gallumping on ahead, oblivious of the safety of his good friend who walks with a cane, making his way down the steps of the White House. Notice, though, who isn’t oblivious. Sgt. Crowley shows his innate good manners in instinctively putting a hand under the professor’s arm for stability. A small thing, perhaps, but something most of us do automatically, whether we are at the grocery store, church, or the White House.
Devoid of thoughtfulness: Did it just not occur to Obama that his good friend might have some trouble making it down the steps safely? If you had a friend who used a cane to assist in walking, would you plod on ahead of him or her going down the steps of your front porch?
Devoid of wisdom: This is actually good for us. The White House staff is so dull-minded that they don’t see in this photo what all the rest of us see. They don’t realize how revealing it is of the true character and nature of the man who is president. That’s because they are all of the same mannerless, classless, and thoughtless crowd.
This picture is priceless and I hope it travels far and for a long, long time.
My thanks to Sgt. James Crowley, and my appreciation to him for a most difficult job well-done. You sir, are truly a class act.

I totally concur with you about Sgt. James Crowley….here, here! I’ll raise my glass of beer to him anytime! Perhaps the heart of Professor Gates has experienced a change from this….
Sgt Crowley is part of an old school group of men you still see from time to time. Nose to the grindstone, do what you can, take what life throws at you and get back at it and dare to make a difference. In Arkansas we have a guy like that names Trevor Drown. Last week he finally decided enough and announced he would run as an independent for US Senate for Arkansas taking on Blanche Lincoln. While many would say he should of done it as a Republican the fact remains the Republican Party in Arkansas is considered a pathetic joke.
Great points pup! I guess being a community activist doesn’t develop these traits in a person.
Sgt Crowley’s mother raised him right.
