There’s a man in Iran who has been imprisoned since 2009 and has been recently sentenced to death for being a Christian.
Youcef Nardarkhani is a Christian pastor whose ancestors were Muslim. He is charged with apostasy and attempting to evangelize Muslims. Ordered to recant his faith in Jesus Christ his consistent reply has been, “I cannot.”
This man is in extreme danger. Even with worldwide attention which has likely protected him to this point, there’s no way to know what the Iran powers-that-be will decide to do.
I somehow doubt that an apology to Christians round the world is in the wings. Iran doesn’t have an Apologizer-in-Chief like we do.
May God bless Youcef and his family. Please pray for him.
“But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.”–Psalm 3:3

So inspiring when you hear about brave believers like this- makes me think of ways in which I could be a better Christian
Prayers-across-the-miles for Mr Nardarkhani- he’s facing down one of the most vile regimes on Earth

I’ll be linking this. Check out the Voice of the Martyrs site for addresses in case you would like to write those in jail or on death row for their faith.
