From the official White House blog, in a post dated January 20, 2009: “One significant addition to WhiteHouse.gov reflects a campaign promise from the President: we will publish all non-emergency legislation to the website for five days, and allow the public to review and comment before the President signs it.”
I spent a couple of hours last evening browsing the official White House website, as well as the White House blog. I have been looking for the area where they post the legislation for us to see, but can’t find it.
I’ve sent an email on the “contact us” page asking where I can find that, and I’ll post their response here.
If any of you have found that page, please leave a comment below with the link.
I could be wrong, I know that I can be overly suspicious sometimes, but I’m thinking that they don’t have that set up yet.
But that they’re working on it.
And it will be available very soon.
Because this administration is committed to transparency like no other administration ever has been.
And I know that’s true because they say so.
Well, I’ve got to run. I’m meeting a guy who’s got a really good deal on some beachfront property in Arkansas. Says it’s “pretty close” to the ocean, or at least it will be some day once that ocean level rises enough.
And I know that’s true because Al Gore says so.

The blog is extremely unfair. You are supposed to be paying attention to what they say, not what they do. If everyone focused on what they actually do, where would that leave us?
Oh those pesky promises!
It’s a good thing we don’t have to wait for the MSM to uncover which ones he’s failed to keep.
Great job Pup!
Don’t hold your breath or quit your day job while you are waiting. Especially if you expect the response to actually be gasp – the truth. Or that this administration will even begin to do anything that even approaches the truth.
Hey, Pup…notice the words “NON-EMERGENCY”…that’s the legislation they would post…haven’t you heard? ALL the legislation is emergency in this admin. Ha! Love the title of this post, btw.
Also btw, about that emergency legislation? That’s the Cloward-Piven way…and if you can’t find a crisis…just create one!
