Fortunately, while America has some remaining liberties, citizen Palin has the right to support anyone she chooses. We all have that right. And we have the right to disagree with her. Why she is supporting McCain is known only to her, though I wish she would not. Does she suffer from poor judgment? Misplaced loyalty? Who knows...? If she runs for public office in the future, these will be important questions.

Disappointing as that endorsement may be, I don't understand why we believe we have the right to our expectations of Sarah Palin. She is not in office, has made no promises, she owes us nothing. We have our own minds, as each of these comments demonstrates. Otherwise, we're no better than Obama's HopenChange lemmings, IMHO.

I believe conservatives will damage their worthy cause until hell freezes over by demanding "purity." One only needs to review the Scott Brown election: good conservatives from other regions of the country would not endorse him. Which left the question, is Coakley better? Brown is not a pure conservative and, in Blue States, those candidates will not win...ever...So I think we need to accept some differences between us, or lose our country forever.

This is a good blog, Pup. Thanks for your efforts!

I am one that is disappointed in her choices. They seem strange to me. I understand your point and more or less agree. I am kind of holding back. I certianly wouldn't completely walk away, but I am going to look a little more closely.

As much as I love her, I would never vote for her in a primary, as I don't think she can win the general.

I love Sarah Palin too but she is disappointing me with her support for McCain the Rino and I do understand the loyalty aspect but the left leaning Republicans are the problem with the republican party in most true conservatives opinions. Now the support for Ran Paul who is basically his dad running all over again. I should be fair he seems very conservative but I am concerned about isolationism and not taking the butt woopin to our enemies. The islamic extremists will grow in size unlike anything we have ever experienced before if we don't keep going after them...I fear Rand would not be proactive enough in the War on Islamic Extremists.
I love your blog by the way...very nice.
I am a follower, take care and keep up the great work!

Fantom,

I appreciate your stating your position so eloquently. It's clear that it's from the heart, and I'm glad you shared it with us.

As I said above, my measurement of Palin continues to satisfy me, though I have not been enthusiastic about the support for McCain. However, I cannot judge her actions as I don't know her, and can't see what's in her heart. It looks to me like loyalty, and possibly a gratitude for the service he gave our country years ago.

Thanks for coming by, and for your comment. Please come back again, anytime.

Well I sent this to Sarah, in a e-mail.

"Sarah Palin is probably going to lose a lot of support for backing pro-Amnesty, pro-Open Borders, pro-Global Warming, pro-Gitmo closing, anti-American John McCain. Not only she is supporting an outright RINO who once thought about switching parties and running as Gores VP.....McCain and his staff has trashed Palin relentlessly since the election.....Sarah needs to develop some backbone and stand up to McCain and his staffers.

My belief that Sarah actually would be for limited government and conservative principals is shaken. I have donated to Sarah and was about to begin a monthly donation. However, now all such donations will be sent to J.D. Hayworth until after the primary. At which point I will re-evaluate whether or not Sarah is worth supporting.

A Simple Bricklayer."

I am an honorable and real person too. And I meant every word of it. So far I have received the usual blow off reply ( "Thank you for your email. Due to the large number of responses, it may take awhile for us to fully respond. Thank you.") from the usual business as usual politicians.

Sarah will have to re-earn my trust. I am glad I used the strategy of just sending a Jackson a month to her until I saw what see did with it.

As of now that "Jackson".. as well as others, has a better place to go as far as I am concerned.
