Much as I like Sarah Palin, I think she’ll do more good for the Party outside it, rather than as the “ultimate insider”. Her impact will have a much larger sphere of influence if she isn’t hemmed in by the White House.

I’m liking Bobby Jindal or Tim Pawlenty, to be honest. Mitt is OK but he’s just a Democrat-lite.

Fred! – ah how disappointed all us “Fred Heads” were. He had what it takes to do this country proud…

The office of the president is to be filled by a Natural Born Citizen….I’d rather have a citizen of that type fill it any day than a politician.

Sneed, I couldn’t have said it better.

JACG, I’ve heard and read others comment on her speaking style, and while I recognize that her style isn’t silky smooth and polished, that doesn’t bother me too much. WHAT she says in her non-politician way matters more to me; after all, we have a terribly graceful speaker (when on teleprompter) now as president, but that counts for nothing. To me, she sounds like a citizen rather than a politician and I like that. I really hope that in the future we won’t be put off by good citizens who have the best interests of the country at their heart because we don’t like their speaking style. She reminds me of someone who is so passionate about what she’s saying that it sometimes doesn’t come out just perfectly. I can live with that.

I am not a big fan of Romney or Palin. Personally I would like to see both of them get out of the way.

I also can see what the Romney aides were saying. Sarah seriously needs a speech coach. I don’t think she is stupid, I also think that she could do the job. But her speaking style leaves a little to be desired. She sometimes talks in circles and if you read her comments instead of just hearing her speak, sometimes the answers make no sense. Although, I have noticed of late she has improved this.

Romney is Arlen Specter in a prettier outfit and essentially a waste of protoplasm. If he is the future or present of the Republican Party then there is no reason to pay the slightest attention to what it does. Personally, I have no interest in a party that seems to be Progressive Light in actual fact other than hoping they can gridlock the system until something better evolves.
