Rick Santelli Calls For A Teaparty

by Pup on February 19, 2009

This video is amazing.  It is from CNBC, which is the business network on cable, affiliated with NBC.  They follow the markets all day, deliver business news, stock quotes, and various stories of interest to investors and traders.  Today, Rick Santelli, one of their reporters, gave a very different type of report than usual, from the Chicago trading floor.  You have to see this.   I hope he doesn’t lose his job, and I intend to email or call CNBC to express my support of what he said.

Very cool, Pup. I’m glad you posted this. I had caught a bit of it on tv, but I very much enjoyed hearing the whole thing…the masses are restless!! Yes!

This has really caught on. Over on Twitter there’s a new group started up already called #teaparty. People are discussing coordinating events across the country on some same day as a visible protest. Nothing rowdy, just signs and such. Speeches probably. I liked this, and how even the traders on the floor joined in.
