Pup’s Picks 12/4/09

by Pup on December 5, 2009

I’d like to begin this edition of Pup’s Picks with a terrific write-up of Sarah Palin’s booksigning stop in Norman, Oklahoma this past Thursday night.  I wanted to be there very badly, but it was just not possible.  I have no idea what the future holds for Gov. Palin, but I know that I, and millions of other Americans, ‘have her back’ whatever comes her way.  Thanks for sharing this, Conservatives4Palin.

Diane, at Freedom’s Wings, finds it amazing, (as do I) that Progressives support free speech only when they agree with it. What true liberal (or American of any political affiliation) would want to stifle free speech?  She hits the nail on the head.

PoorGrrl Zone admits she is no military strategist, but rightfully proves that she knows more about winning a war than our current President.

I had great fun learning about proper bowing and kowtowing protocol at The Tree of Mamre.  This should be required reading for anyone who wishes to go around bowing and scraping to world leaders.  And as Wanpeirui points out, “with the way Obama is going, we’ll all have to learn how to kowtow soon.”

Have you been following the saga of Colonel Barfoot, who has been told by his Homeowner’s Association that he can’t fly his US flag from a 21-ft flagpole?  I have, and must say, I think the HOA had no idea of the poopy mess they were creating for themselves.  Roman Around writes eloquently of this attack on a 90-yr old war hero who earned the Medal of Honor, has a strip of highway and a building at a Veterans’ Hospital named after him.  Some things are impossible to understand.

President Obama is flying to Copenhagen again this month, not once, but twice.  Once for the awarding of his Noble Peas Prize, and then again for the so-called Copenhagen treaty.   I liked how Another Black Conservative summed it all up quite nicely.  (I loved Mighty Mouse!)

An important update on Geert Wilders at Creeping Sharia.  Free speech is under attack globally.  Makes me sick to my stomach.

I hope the WH never gets rid of Robert Gibbs.  He is the perfect public face to what undoubtedly is the not-so-behind-the-scenes opinions and attitudes of the entire administration, those of disdain, smugness, superiority, and contempt that they feel for the rest of us.  Let the public see Mr. Gibbs, every day, for the entire term of this president.  Here’s his latest, at Freedom Eden.  Don’t ever wish for his removal from his position, he’s a good thing for us.

Do not miss this call from Hillbuzz to stand with Gov. Sarah Palin on her call for the US to boycott Copenhagen and fully investigate ‘Climategate.’  I love these guys.

Have a wonderful weekend, everybody.

Pup out.

It has been fascinating to watch Sarah Palin’s book tour. People are waiting overnight and for hours just to have this woman sign a book. I had started to write Sarah off after she gave up the Alaskan governorship, but maybe she will have a chance in 2012? If nothing else, I’m glad to have her influence and fundraising power on our side.

Thanks so much for linking to my blog as well. ;)

Diane,

I’m in agreement with you that Sarah Palin, no matter what she decides to do in the future, is a tremendous asset right now for conservatives and the conservative movement. Not speaking here of the GOP party; they’re the ones I’ve written off for the time being. I love how everywhere she goes, the people show up. With her support I think that will help conservative candidates get elected in 2010, at least that’s my hope.

Thanks for coming by, and was my pleasure to link.
