Civics is defined as “the study of the rights and duties of citizenship; the study of government with the role of citizens in the operation and oversight of government.” [emphasis mine]
President Obama has been in office now for a little more than seven months. His biggest and most productive accomplishment has been changing this:
into this.
Obama has been not only the top gun salesman of the year, he wins the American Civics teacher of the year award. And, he wins this in a time when American civics is probably no longer taught in our schools. Now that’s a teacher!
Always fair and balanced, I will report on the good that has come out of this administration, as well as any bad stuff.
On that, you can rely.

Thanks both of you. CP, yeah, the illegal immigrants issue is next. They’ll probably do that in Congress while at the same time try to kill talk radio and the internet freedom behind the scenes through the czars. We’ll be so focused on one, that we’ll miss the other. Or so they think. We are learning well.

CP, I’m an old-timer who actually was exposed to classes in “Civics” many years ago and I’ve been wondering for the past several years if Civics is even taught in schools at any level these days.
Apparently some of us older citizens remember what our options and our DUTIES as American citizens are. Hopefully that will help us save our nation.

I expect it to just keep getting better and better…but we must not get complacent and gloating…the Left will not give up easily…nor go away quietly into the night…well, then there’s Van Jones…

That’s a great idea! Giving your nieces and nephew our founding documents–wonderful! Mine are all “grown-up” now and are all liberals right now, but I may have to consider that.
You’re exactly right, we can’t get complacent. This is going to be a no-let-up campaign for all of us through 2010, and on through 2012. We can’t let up.
