Norma Rae’s In The House-Literally

“In Michigan, the unions are going after…home-based child care workers.”–Michelle Malkin

The unions will never be satisfied.  Not content with hassling companies whose workers aren’t members of the crime family SEIU, now they are attempting to ‘unionize’ people who stay at home and care for a developmentally challenged family member, usually a parent caring for a child.  The child may be of adult age, but requires constant supervision and care, and as many of us would–and do–a family member provides the home-health care, rather than institutionalize their loved one.  They are eligible for financial assistance from a state-run program, a ‘salary’, if you will.

Well, the unions want in on the action, and not just in on it, but want a little piece of it to put into their pockets.  You must read Michelle Malkin’s excellent posts on what she has uncovered about this.

As she says in the title of one of her posts, “First the unions came for home-care providers, next they came for babysitters….”

More money for the unions means more money for the Democrat party to keep their guys in office. More people in unions means more voters needing the Democrat party to be in power to do good things for them. They are building a power base of voters right now by giving away the store. This really ought to be illegal (and probably is) simply because these are workers who get money from the states and the unions are a partisan group working for the Dems. Kind of like ACORN getting taxpayer funds to canvas for Dems.

It’s almost comical to see these liberal nutjobs trying to get more money for their coffers to advance their agendas.

Almost.

I wonder if they’ll be coming by next summer while I’m mowing the grass, and try to sign up all the “homeowner lawn care givers.”

Seriously, this is so maddening. I do hope though, that the right people will begin to really look at ACORN, and that some of that will lead to SEIU. One of my prayers.

Unions will not be satified until every American is paying union dues.
