My Response To The RNC….

by Conservative Pup on July 31, 2009

I received another one of those mailouts from the RNC the other day, wanting money.  It was a form letter, and stated that they were disappointed that I hadn’t sent any in response to all their other mailouts.

Guess I’m not the only one if there’s a form letter for it.

I decided to send a response.  No money, but an explanation.  Below is what I wrote on the page you’re supposed to send back with your donation.

Dear Gov. Steele,

I am not turning my back on my party, but the party has turned its back on me.  There are many GOP members in Congress who vote against core Constitutional values of limited federal government and low taxes, and I cannot support the Republican Party in general at this time.  Sen. Lindsay Graham just voted to confirm a woman to the Supreme Court who judges based on her own beliefs, rather than the Constitution.

Our house will focus our own limited resources on Conservative candidates, regardless of party affiliation. We want to support specific people who hold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights dear, and will vote accordingly.

It may not matter a hill of beans, and possibly no one will even read my comment.  But if I don’t attempt to let them know my views, then I can’t complain about them not doing what I think they should be doing.

Well said! I have just been sending the RNC envelopes back with advice, but not money. I’ll write “Move RIGHT”, “No RINOS” or “Return to Reaganism” on the request and send it back. I’m sure the financial base of the RNC comes from conservatives. If we all responded as you and I have, we could actually move the party in a way all of our whining won’t…
