Bloggers Needed For 2,996 Project..

by Conservative Pup on August 4, 2009

“Project 2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.

On September 11, 2006, more than 3000 bloggers joined together to remember the victims of 9/11.”

I just learned about this, thanks to Michelle Malkin.  I’ve signed up and hope you will too.  The 2,996 Project is all about honoring and paying tribute to the victims.  As the project website says, there’s been more written and spoken about the murderers of that day, than those they killed, and this project’s desire is to speak not of those who murdered, but to tell the story, to honor the life of someone whose life was taken that day.

Never forget.

Pup – thank you! I participated in this a couple of years ago but he didn’t do it last year. I’ve signed up once again for a name we knew – Heather Lee Smith, Flight 11. She was the daughter of old friends. It is an honor to write a tribute to Heather and the others.

Hi Kris,
So glad to hear that you’ve participated in it before. And so sorry to hear that you lost someone you knew. How appropriate for you to be able to write a tribute to her.

Thanks!

Thanks Pup. The first year Dale did this I had someone else with a blog write the tribute for me. For the next 2 years I did it myself on my blog. So glad he’s doing it again.
