Poor ol’ Lisa Murkowski, who wants to keep on being a member of court the United States Senate, is thinking she’s going to lose her primary in Alaska to Joe Miller, a political newcomer, i.e., a real person living in the real world. Word is, she was trying to maybe fix up some kind of deal where she would run on the Libertarian ticket instead. (Yea, I’ve always thought of her as such a libertarian.)
Apparently, that will be a no-go. A five-member executive committee decided unanimously against having anything to do with her.
Sen. Murkowski voted for TARP. She voted to bailout Fannie and Freddie. Although no one from her campaign had approached us about her running as a Libertarian, the speculation had reached the point where we felt we had to take a clear stand.
We did the hard work to get a Libertarian candidate on the ballot. We didn’t do that hard work to then nominate someone with Sen. Murkowski’s record.
I’m glad to hear it. I do hope that when all is said and done, Joe Miller will be the GOP candidate for one of Alaska’s senate seats in D.C., and that come November, it will become his for a while.

Excellent.
To be fair to Lisa (being fair on her way out the door, I hope) she never asked the Libertarian Party about this. So they are saying “no” to the unasked question, presumably to foreclose it coming up but, it was never asked and may never have been asked. The Libs may well just have jumped at the chance to garner some free publicity.
Man, we better watch these snakes… Dan Riehl is all over Team Murkowski, who appear as they’re trying to “pull a Franken” on us
Great post, Pup… enjoy your day Ma’am
