I like Rush Limbaugh just fine, though I don’t listen to his program with regularity for various reasons. Rush Limbaugh, regardless of whether you like his style or not, hasn’t wavered from his conservative principles in all these years. This country has a Bill of Rights, which were put down on paper so that it would be clear to all that these God-given rights were to be protected and preserved. If I hated listening to Rush, I would still be deeply concerned at the prospect of his first amendment right being threatened.
That’s the hard part about living in a country with all this freedom and liberty. For there to be “liberty for all” we have to endure a lot of things we don’t like. But, the good part is, Nancy, they make TV’s and radios with these little buttons that if you push them, they will change the channel and you can find something else to listen to, Harry. Duh.
The left is deliberately being obtuse in this business with Rush and his comment about “wanting Obama to fail.” We all know that what he actually said, in context, was that if Obama’s policies were going to be bad for America, then he wanted those policies to fail.
Who wouldn’t want policies that damage our economy, increase the number of unborn babies killed, and weaken our national security to fail?
There’s a petition at SmartGirlPolitics supporting Rush, and I encourage everyone to sign it. It is worded very appropriately and focuses on our right to free speech in this country.
I think this is all a ploy to divide and conquer. Keep us conservatives busy taking sides within our own ranks. Do not fall for that!
I support Rush Limbaugh and his right to talk about and rally for conservative values. I support his right to hope that policies that are detrimental to America will fail. We should all hope for that.
Stick together people, don’t play their game.
