A Note On My Previous Post

by Pup on October 19, 2009

After reading my own post again, I must add just a few comments.  I do not in any way intend to suggest that we ignore attempts on the life of the First Amendment.  Nothing matters more than our Bill of Rights, and assaults on it from within, not from a radical fringe group, but from the radicals inside our own White House.

This is a time when we will need to put all our prioritizing skills to work.  We cannot ignore any attack upon our freedoms, neither stealth ones like the Copenhagen Treaty, or apparent ones like this current attack on the only news network actually reporting news in a factual and complete manner.

We must stay vigilant and help each other stay up-to-date on EVERYTHING this administration is doing.  We must prioritize the attacks, and budget our time, energy, and effort we each have to draw upon, and proceed with courage, commitment, and wisdom.

We are going to win this.  We are going to fend off this group of people whose idea of America is not based upon any of our founding documents nor our history nor our traditions.

We have the power of right on our side.

Exactly. I couldn’t agree with you more.

Have a terrific day. :)

The only problem with that formulation is that every deranged lunatic of every political persuasion also believes he or she has “the power of right” on their side. “Right” is a kind of religious/philosophical concept having nothing to do with the real world. Do you for an instant not believe that the loons of the left firmly believe they are “right?”

Sneed, of course they believe they are “right”…but they are deluded..eh, eh, eh. If we stick with the Founders, I think we can be safe in our assumptions. Obama and his ilk have already expressed their opinions of what the founders wrote. They are definitely against the Constitution.

Oh, they want to get rid of that pesky little thing called the Constitution, but the American people will stand up and say “It’s ours, keep your hands off”. America will prevail be it’s going to be messy.

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. Sneed, are you calling me a “deranged lunatic?” :) I don’t think you are, and I didn’t miss your point. You are right, most of us think we are right. But as Kathy pointed out, we are the ones trying to uphold the Constitution and our BoR. I honestly don’t think they revere or even think about the Constitution, except perhaps how to circumvent it.

George, thanks as always; I too think the American people will say “NO!” to those trying to destroy founding priniciples.

I do worry about just how messy it’s going to get as more of our basic rights as American citizens are subverted in the name of socialism. When there are multiple “czars” who all profess to admire Mao and are clearly not overseen by anyone…I’m a tad bit more than worried about the direction this country is being taken.
